Bolo Cuts A Fine Figure At Flemingate Alongside Guest & Philips

Wykeland Group has today announced that BOLO, the Humber-based independent menswear retailer, is to open a 3,500 sq ft boutique at Flemingate, the 162,561 sq ft retail and leisure development in Beverley. Joining BOLO is local independent jeweller, Guest & Philips, which is to open an 880 sq ft store. Flemingate will be the second location in Beverley for both businesses, which will continue to trade. The stores will open this October in the first phase of Flemingate.

Established in 1990, BOLO is a local independent clothing boutique. Operating from two levels, the Flemingate store will stock womenswear on the ground floor, showcasing brands such as Ted Baker, Lisa Jayne Dann, UGG, Barbour, Gestuz, Diva, Cheap Monday, Vivienne Westwood Accessories and Aq Aq. These will be complemented by brands focused on younger customers, including Blonde and Wise, Kelly Ewing, Katie Newsam, Dolly Rocka, Cheap Monday and Have to Love. Also on the ground floor will be an HD brow and make-up concession.

The first floor of BOLO will be dedicated to menswear, including Armani EA7, Denim Is Everything, Creative Recreation, Boss, Luke, Lyle and Scott, and Barbour, as well as Religion, Pearly King, and Jack and Jones. BOLO’s exclusive Social Junkie label will also be available.

Guest & Philips will introduce a contemporary range of modern jewellery and watches, from brands such as Links of London, Swatch, Uno de 50, Storm and Daniel Wellington.

Commenting on the addition of BOLO and Guest & Philips, Dominic Gibbons, Managing Director of Wykeland Group, said: “BOLO and Guest & Guest & Philips are great additions to Flemingate’s retail offer. Both are high quality, premium stores and match our strategy to create a first-class regional shopping and leisure destination for the catchment’s large number of affluent consumers.

“As independents, they also offer something different to visitors, between them bringing to Beverley a very strong line-up of brands, which adds to the offer provided by brands such as Debenhams, H&M and Topshop.”

Paul Wilks, Co-Founder of BOLO, added: “Flemingate is a great opportunity for us to grow the BOLO brand. It is a high quality destination that is adding something new to Beverley and mixes well with the existing mix of shops and restaurants in the town. We are delighted to be opening and are confident Flemingate will help us to attract an even larger customer base from a much greater area.”

Philip Guest, Co-Owner of Guest & Philips, also said: “We are delighted to be opening our second store in Beverley in Flemingate. The centre is going to have a very strong appeal amongst a broad range of visitors, many of whom will be new visitors to the town. Consequently, we are going to create an offer that complements our existing store, bringing in a range of exciting new brands that are currently unavailable in Beverley.”

This news follows the announcement of retail and dining brands secured for Flemingate, including H&M, Outfit, The Entertainer, Zizzi’s, Costa Coffee and a 40,000 sq ft concept store for Debenhams. The destination will also have a 500-space multi-storey car park, an 80-room Premier Inn hotel, and a 6-screen 33,723 sq ft Parkway cinema.
