Wykeland purchased this attracive warehouse in the mid 1970's when its use as a warehouse for liquor ceased. Dating from the 1800's and sitting opposite the historic Black Boy public house and close to the birthplace of William Wilberforce it was one of only a few of the original warehouses remianing in Hull from which the wealth of the city was created upon.
With many orginal features Wykeland sympathetically refurbished the building to create office suites and studios over its four floors.
Wykeland had to overcome a further challenge when the rear of the property was severely damaged by a passing ship, and the remediation works gained Wykeland a Civic Trust Award. |
